A program of the International Institute of Wisconsin (IIW), Holiday Folk Fair International, America’s premiere multi-cultural festival, will be virtual in 2021. This year's event theme is “Celebrate the Culture of Weaving Community.” Those wishing to experience the 78th annual Folk Fair will be able to do it from “wherever you are” Fri., Nov. 19 – Sun., Nov. 21 through the event’s website (https://folkfair.org/) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HolidayFolkFair). Folk Fair will also present three Facebook live events, one each day on Nov. 19, Nov. 20, and Nov. 21, through the event’s Facebook page. The online event will feature various ethnic groups presenting their culture through music, dance, food, and the arts. In addition, Folk Fair visitors will have the opportunity to view education presentations, “Folk Fair Perspectives,” a series of participant interviews, and “Folk Fair Through the Years” performance presentations. “The groups that have been regular Folk Fair participants are excited about the ways they will explain their customs to those in Wisconsin and throughout the world,” said Alexander Durtka, Jr., President of the IIW.
