OpenAir Tours LLC
OpenAir Tours organizes tours of convertibles and open air cars to explore the scenic back roads, rural areas, heartland communities, lake country, forests, great river roads, and travel destinations in Wisconsin and near-by states in the Upper Great Lakes Region. It was formed in 2006 and has held an annual tour every year in August and a ''winter meeting'' at the end of January on the non-NFL playoff weekend- ''The OpenAir Conditioner.''
OPENAIR CLASSIC -The annual four-day summer tour, the OpenAir Classic is held beginning on the third Thursday of August. It is known as ''The World's Most Spectacular Open Air Tour''. It is open to any convertible or open-air touring car, any make or vintage. The tour is limited to about 200 cars and some 400 people. OpenAir Tours is a membership organization and members get the first opportunity to sign-up for the tours. If space is still available after the members' early sign-up period, non-members are welcome to join.
THE OPENAIR CONDITIONER - is the winter gathering of openair auto enthusiasts. The meeting runs Friday to Sunday and is open to OpenAir Tours members. The event is based in Madison, offers members the opportunity to socialize and often features a guest speaker. The tour destination and headquarters hotel for the coming August tour are announced and participants have the first opportunity to book rooms at the designated August headquarters.
