About Us

The Big Band Reunion was formed in 1991 by two Music Professors from Lawrence University, co-leaders Bob Levy (trumpet) and Nick Keelan (trombone) both of whom performed extensively with big bands. They sought to provide a weekly outlet for numerous musicians throughout the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin and to keep the 'big band sound' alive and well. The Band has continued to develop and thrive over the years, this being our 25th Anniversary. We are a not for profit musical association of area Musicians and Musical Educators.

Toe tappin' finger snappin' smile makin' Music. The seventeen member big band of 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, drums, guitar, and at times with a vocalist, includes many of the Fox Valley's finest musicians. Their repertoire ranges from music of the great big band era to the current, including Jazz, Blues, Swing, Latin, Pop, and Contemporary. The Band performs weekly from October thru May at Frank's Pizza Palace for the past 20 years. During the off season, a smaller group of these Musicians from the Big Band Reunion, continue to play a regular bi-weekly schedule known as The Little Big Band. Both groups perform at various Community functions, as well Special Events, Commercial Performances, and Wedding Receptions. We have two recorded CD?s, with plans for additional in the works.
